DraftKings MMA & UFC
Standard to every daily fantasy sports content, a salary cap of $50,000 can be spent on players when drafting your team.
Each player has a monetary value set on them, based on their skill level. Better players will cost more, and less skilled players will cost less. DraftKings does this, so you can’t just pick the best players to win every night. This means that you can not go over the salary cap and must choose players under a combined total of $50,000.
6 fighters must be chosen to complete an entry in MMA or UFC.
DraftKing contest must be submitted before the first fight. If you reserve a seat in a contest, be sure you fill it out before the first match starts, or you will lose your entry fee.
MMA & UFC Scoring On DraftKings
Scoring on MMA & UFC fights is all based on how each fighter performs during the fight. Scoring for moves during the fight are as follows:
Strikes | +0.2 Pts |
Significant Strikes | +0.2 Pts |
Control Time | +0.03 Pts/Second |
Takedown | +5 Pts |
Reversal/Sweep | +5 Pts |
Knockdown | +10 Pts |
At the end of the fight, fighters will also be rewarded. This is primarily based on if they won or not and what round they won in. Fighters who can end the fight in the first round are rewarded with more points than fighters who won on a decision.
The Fight Conclusion Bonuses are as follows:
1st Round Win | +90 Pts |
2nd Round Win | +70 Pts |
3rd Round Win | +45 Pts |
4th Round Win | +40 Pts |
5th Round Win | +40 Pts |
Decision Win | +30 Pts |
Quick Win (60 Seconds Or Less) | +25 Pts |
As you can see, winning in the first round and even under 60 sounds grants the fighter a tremendous amount of points.
The key to winning in UFC & MMA on DraftKings is to pick fighters that you think will win early in rounds to get the fight conclusion bonuses.

How To Enter a Lineup In MMA/UFC On DraftKings
To enter a lineup when playing MMA or UFC on DraftKings, you must first go to the lobby icon in the bottom left corner on the taskbar. If you have it available on the home screen, you can click on that as well.
From here, select the sport that you’re looking for. On DraftKings, all UFC fights will be found under MMA (Mixes Martial Arts).
Select MMA, and you will see when the next fights are. These are the only fights that DraftKings has available for you to choose your lineups.
Once you’ve selected the contest, a list of available games will appear, which you can select your entry fee. If you’re new to MMA & UFC on DraftKings, we recommend you choose a relatively small wager. This is so you can get used to picking the right fighters and understanding the scoring system.
Choose the game you want to enter, and you will see 6 empty slots highlighted by the letter “F”.
Click on those empty spaces to choose your fighter. As mentioned above, you must stay below the $50,000 salary cap when choosing your fighters. If at any point you see a red number where it says “remaining salary cap,” it means you are over the salary cap.
DraftKings will not allow you to progress if you’re over the salary cap.
Once you are under the salary cap, hit “submit,” and your entry fee will be submitted!
